Naked does not take pictures of your body. Our sensors capture 3D depth maps, which are used to form your body model. Additionally, Naked is not like a TSA scanner – Our scans are purely topical, meaning Naked will not see through what you are wearing. If you are wearing leggings or underwear, your scan will reflect that.
Naked stores your scan data securely on our encrypted cloud servers. Users can delete their data at any time, and you can delete your entire account by contacting us at support@nakedlabs.com. Deleted data is not recoverable. Your scan data will not be shared with anyone unless you share it yourself. You can, however, opt-in to our research program and share your raw scan data with our engineering team to help improve Naked.
Unless you've signed up to be a research user, no one can view your scans without your permission.
For research users, only system admins for our AWS servers and employees focused on improving scan quality and accuracy are able to view scans, but all scans would be decoupled from personally identifiable information, like name, account, email, etc.
If you are troubleshooting an issue with our Customer Experience team, the only way they can view your scans is if you expressly grant them permission.
The only way your scans and data can end up in the wrong place is if you scan while logged in to someone else’s Naked user account. To ensure that never happens, just log out of the Naked app and log in to your own account.
At Naked Labs, we take your privacy and the security of your data very seriously. Our privacy and security standards are based on industry best practices. Your scan data is decoupled from any personal identifying information, like name, email, etc. You can read more about our privacy policy here.
Access to keys is limited to a select number of authorized security personnel who are critical to the effective operation of our services. The vast majority of Naked Labs employees would not. For example, customer experience and tech support employees will only have access to your data if you expressly grant it.
We pledge to respect your privacy, to be transparent about our data practices, to keep your data safe, to never sell your personal contact information, to let you decide how your information is shared, and to only collect anonymized data that helps us track trends and improve our products and services. If you are interested in reading our full policy, you can find it here.
