The quality of the Wifi connection linked to your scanner has more to do with your home network and Internet Service Provider than with your Naked. If you have poor connectivity or low bandwidth in the room where your scanner is located, that will impact the speed at which your scanner uploads scans to the cloud and downloads them to your phone.
Try doing an internet speed test (just Google "internet speed test") on a WiFi connected device to check your upload and download speed. Also, remember that speeds can vary greatly depending on the time of day.
If you have both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz wifi networks, we recommend using 2.4Ghz. 2.4Ghz is more tolerant of walls and other obstructions that are in your home.
If you are still receiving WiFi or Cloud Connectivity errors try these steps:
1) Re-setup WiFi on your mirror by tapping on the More Menu, connecting to your scanner, and tapping on 'Scanner WiFi' within the Scanner Status page.
2) Reboot your router

Have you checked your scanning pose? Pose is extremely important to enabling accurate and consistent body fat % and measurements. Watch this video for a quick tutorial on the pose.
A couple things to remember:
1) Hair up and off the neck – no ponytails!
2) Clothes should be tight-fitting and minimal. Scanning naked is perfectly okay, as our name would suggest!
3) Lock out your arms. If you have larger lats or your arms tend to touch your sides, you can move them a little further from the body.
4) Look straight ahead and stand up straight.
5) Are you flexing? We recommend keeping muscles relaxed and breathing normally during the scan.
Pro tip: Line the outer edges of your feet with the edges of the scale to ensure your legs are the same distance apart every time.

Compared to bioimpedance scales and many other commercial devices (inBody, WiFi scales, dunk tank, etc), Naked tends to show higher body fat percentage values. This is because we've normed to DEXA, which tends to be higher than commercially available body fat estimations.
That said, Naked is not like a DEXA – our scanner's sensors do not penetrate the skin, and our algorithms extract your measurements directly from your body model, so intentionally different poses will certainly give different results. The goal should be to do as close to identical poses as possible in order to maximize consistency. Our biggest tip is to get some practice in!

6) How's your lighting? Poor lighting could be impacting your reading. Do you have any strange artifacts on your scan, especially around your neck? We recommend not placing the scanner facing or in front of windows that cannot be covered with opaque shades or curtains.

In order for Bluetooth to work properly, Android phones require that location services must be enabled in both the system preferences and the app level permissions. Additionally, battery save mode will cause problems with the app, so please make sure to disable it before scanning.
First, turn the scale on its back, and see if there is a blue solid light. This means the scale is on. If the light is not on, press the button to turn it on (hint: you may have to press the button twice if you didn't press it hard enough the first time!). If the scale won't turn on, use the USB-C cord to connect the scale to the mirror to charge the scale. It must be charged to at least 10% to scan.
If you are certain your scale is charged, if you are still having trouble pairing your scale, try holding the power button down for 10 seconds to reset your scale. Then plug your scale into the mirror for one minute.

Here are some tips to try:
1) First, tap 'Cancel' and click scan again.
2) If that doesn't work, try turning your Bluetooth off and on again.
3) Next, go to your Bluetooth settings and try forgetting the scanner.
4) If that doesn't help, you can try force-quitting and re-launching the app.
5) If you still can't connect, unplug your scanner, count to 10, and plug it back in.
6) Lastly, try restarting your mobile phone.

First, check your battery level! If you have a low battery, this error will appear. If low battery isn't the culprit, are you scanning on carpet? You'll want to first be sure that you have the carpet feet on your scale if you are scanning on anything that isn't a hard surface. Carpet should also be .5 of an inch or less. If it is any more plush, your weight is likely depressing the button on the bottom of the scale, causing it to be turned off mid-scan.
Cancel your scan and start again. If it still doesn't work, reset your scanner by unplugging the power cord, counting to 10, and replugging it.
Bright light can cause bad scans, so please avoid direct light on your body or the mirror. If you need to turn off some lights or pull down the shades, please feel free to do so. We recommend not placing your scanner where you can see a window reflected in the mirror.
Fun fact — you can even scan in the dark!
Understandable — you are literally being spun around! Try taking as wide of stance as possible on the scale without your feet hanging off, and keep your head as still as possible. If it helps, apply a little more pressure to your right foot when spinning.
If you still aren't feeling stable, it may be because your turntable is not level. Adjust the feet so that a level placed on top of the scale reads zero degrees (pro-tip: there is a level in the native Compass app in iPhone).
That's okay! If you only have one scanner in your home, rest assured you're still connecting to the correct one. If you want to change your scanner name, you can go into scanner settings from the More tab.
Close the app, unplug your mirror, and forget your device from your Bluetooth settings. Plug in your mirror, relaunch the app, and give it another shot. If you're still having trouble, you can reach out to us via email, chat, or phone.
Here are some additional tips to try:
1) Reboot your phone.
2) Delete and reinstall the app.
3) Try resetting your scale by holding down the power button for 10 seconds. Then plug the scale into the mirror for one minute.
