At the moment, there is no goal-setting function in the app, but we do have plans to build this feature in the future.
Naked currently offers users the ability to share their data with Apple HealthKit.
We do plan to offer more integrations with fitness apps and platforms in the future, however, the specific apps and platforms are still TBD. If you have suggestions, let us know through the contact page.
Currently, you can see percent gains and losses for your weight, body fat, lean mass, fat mass and measurements. The ability to track regional changes in your arms, legs, and torso is in our feature pipeline, but we cannot provide an estimated release date at this time.
If you purchase a Naked scanner, there is no fee associated with using the app. It is possible that this could change in the future, as we do intend to offer a subscription-based service for those people who would like to use Naked but do not want to purchase a scanner.
The main features of the app are outlined on our product page. In addition to these features, there are also two significant “first-time use” features: the scanner setup walkthrough and the first scan walkthrough. These walkthroughs are accessible via the More menu in the app if you ever want to revisit them.
The Naked app currently works on iPhone's running iOS 11 and 12. The Naked Android app is available via the Google Play Store and runs on devices using Android 8.0 and 8.1. Our officially supported Android devices are the Google Pixel2/2XL, Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, and Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+. The app functions well for a large portion of 'unsupported' devices, and we will continue to add Android devices to this list as they become fully supported.
We will not have an API or SDK immediately out of the gate, but it is something we do plan to make available. If you’re a developer and you have thoughts on what you’d like to see from a Naked API and/or SDK, please let us know through the contact page.
Naked is not intended for users under 18 years of age. That said, we do have a number of customers whose children use the scanner with parental permission. Please bear in mind that the camera calibration, computer vision algorithms, and formulas that we use (e.g. for body fat percentage) are optimized for full-grown adults, so they will not be accurate for users under 16 years of age.
We comply with the FTC’s Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule ("COPPA"). The only way a minor may use Naked is with their parent or guardian’s advance consent. To receive a copy of the consent form please email legal@nakedlabs.com.
Posture analysis is a feature we are actively considering, but it’s not currently on our feature roadmap.
For iOS users, the amount of local storage Naked will use is dynamically adjusted by Apple based on your usage of Naked and the other apps on your phone. It will prioritize the apps, media, and data that you access most. We will, however, always store a local copy of your baseline scan/data and most recent scan/data. Additional scans and data are stored on the Naked Cloud and will be accessible on your phone via LTE or WiFi.
